Abandoned on street corners. Eating out of the garbage. Sold for sex acts by their own mothers. This is the dark reality for thousands of children in Belize, one of Central America’s poorest and most violent nations.
Poverty and hopelessness have led to uncontrolled crime, violence, domestic abuse, and broken homes. The streets are flooded with orphaned and abandoned children. Thankfully, through our partnerships with children’s homes and women’s shelters around the country, many have been rescued from unspeakable violence, drugs, terror, and sex trafficking.
