Mozambique is a land of deep contrasts — rich in beauty, culture, and resilience, yet marked by widespread poverty, loss, militant violence from political groups and natural disasters like floods, fires and cyclones. For millions of children, life begins with hardship such as multi-dimensional poverty, informal and unsafe housing, food insecurity, orphan-hood, interrupted education, and limited access to medical, emotional and spiritual care.

Our Moz Mission is dedicated to changing the
destiny of vulnerable children and families in Mozambique.

2) Reaching out to families through our projects to bring dignity into their lives and harvest souls for God’s Kingdom
PRACTICAL INVOLVEMENT:
ORPHAN CARE
The Reality and Challenge: Material poverty is only one layer of the challenges these children face; emotional trauma and neglected living conditions heavily impact their well-being.
With over 1.8 to 2 Million Orphans, Mozambique has one of the highest orphan populations in the world. Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO)
The Impact of Illness and Conflict shows that approximately 800,000 Mozambican children have been orphaned directly due to the long-standing HIV/AIDS epidemic while ongoing conflicts and climate disasters have separated thousands more from their families. UNICEF Alternative Care Report
Child-Headed Households: 24,000 homes in Mozambique are run entirely by children, where the oldest sibling (often a teenager) must drop out of school to feed and care for younger brothers and sisters.
UNICEF Mozambique reveals that out of 16.4 million children in the country, nearly 13 million (77%) live in multi-dimensional poverty. This means they are severely deprived of basic human rights, including clean water, healthcare, safe housing, and education.
Our Faith Solution: We execute vital, practical restructuring of the physical environment at the Xai Xai State Orphanage while consistently delivering emotional and psychological and spiritual well-being programs according to individual needs with specific focus on the many physically challenged children to provide the emotional support necessary to heal childhood trauma.
Our success reflects our ongoing commitment to meaningful change which begins with faithfulness — showing up, staying present, and investing deeply in the lives of children entrusted to us.
Our Trusted Goal ($5,000): This investment will directly fund the physical transformation of dilapidated living quarters—repairing, painting, and restructuring rooms, the bathrooms, library, outside kitchen, washing facilities and much more. More importantly is to provide sustaining professional emotional care initiatives to ensure these children live in safety and dignity, knowing they are valued and deeply loved.

EDUCATION SUPPORT
The Reality and Challenge: Nearly half of all children never finish primary school, and only about 6% of the national workforce ever reaches higher education or vocational training. A child in Mozambique completes an average of just 3.2 years of schooling, and rural secondary school attendance drops to a stark 23%. Academic research shows that children in father-absent homes face significantly higher rates of early child labor, as single caretakers are forced to rely on children just to help gather food or work for survival
One of the country’s most pressing challenges is the ongoing shortage of skilled labor, which is reflected in its ranking of 182 out of 193 countries on the United Nations’ 2025 Human Development Index. This shortage remains a key barrier to economic growth and development.
Our Faith Solution: We identify specific, highly motivated students with preference to orphan children and walk alongside them through their educational journeys. By covering school fees, uniforms, textbooks, essential learning supplies, transport, nutrition and food sustainability, we ensure that financial barriers nor home circumstances will stop their hope and reality to complete their schooling and education.

Community Care Projects
Reality and Challenge: Over 70% of Mozambican children live below the monetary poverty line, surviving on less than $1 USD per day. Extreme weather and economic strain frequently devastate community anchor points. Mozambique is further known for many challenges with regards to child neglect, trafficking and child marriages.
REBUILDING CHURCHES AND TRAINING CENTRES
The Reality and Challenge:
Early 2026, 723,500 people have been impacted by rising waters, with over 392,000 displaced into temporary accommodation centers. At least 62,000 homes were destroyed or rendered uninhabitable. Many churches sustained structural damages to their roofs and walls due to violent winds
Our Faith Solution: We partner with local pastors in Xai Xai rural communities to physically rebuild damaged churches and training facilities to equip women in the community with practical skills that can help them provide for their families. This initiative has the potential to create sustainable income opportunities and strengthen families throughout the community.
Once the training centre is completed, we envision a sewing classroom equipped with up to ten sewing machines, where women can receive training in sewing, alterations, and garment making. This training facility will in future act as a vital community hub where local adults and youth receive literacy classes, vocational training, and life skills, creating long-term economic independence for the entire village.
Our Trusted Goal: $5000. Funding towards this section will drive the structural restoration project of Pastor Obete’s Church in Xai Xai and the building of a new training centre as part of the church.
Church Rebuilding and Community Centre
MOSQUITO NETS AND BIBLES
The Reality and Challenge: Malaria remains one of the leading causes of child mortality in Mozambique, making physical protection like mosquito nets a literal matter of life and death for these already vulnerable families. Mosquito nets given out randomly wind up being sold, used as fishing nets or used to cover their vegetable gardens.
Many Pastors are trained to Evangelise, Nurture and Disciple their communities and congregations without the aid of Bibles. The availability of bibles in their languages is very limited and expensive. If the bibles are distributed without due diligence, many of them wind up being used to make cigarettes or used to light fires. Reading literacy among adults is also extremely limited.
Our Faith Solution: Michael, CEO of Whisper Seekers personally leads this network of existing Pastors and Leaders to distribute the nets and bibles effectively. Michael follows a hands-on approach using the “SEND Salvation Kit” (Witness, Evangelize, Nurture and Disciple) to reach families on a one on one basis and then distribute nets, the Gospel of John in their own language, other tracts and the QR Code Bible to everyone in the family The QR Code Bible is a great tool for the illiterate.
Our Trusted Goal: $5000 – Support to this project will cover the purchase or provision of local-language bibles from City Bibles and All Nations Gospel Publishers, the storage and transport costs for distribution among the pastors, frontline leaders, and vulnerable families with both the Word of God and life-saving mosquito nets.
Immanuel Christmas Box Project
The Reality and Challenge: Living in multi-dimensional poverty means orphaned and vulnerable children rarely, if ever, experience the joy of receiving a personal gift. This severe deprivation compounds feelings of isolation, neglect, and being forgotten by the world.
Our Faith Solution: Every December holiday season, we deliver personalized Immanuel Christmas Boxes filled with essential hygiene products, school supplies, toys, personal age-related gifts and treats.
Annual Goal ($5,000): This allocation fully funds the logistics, procurement, and distribution of Christmas boxes, bringing tangible joy, dignity, and a reminder that they are loved to hundreds of children across our target regions. More than just a box of items, it is a tangible expression of love, bringing smiles, dignity, and holiday cheer to children living in difficult circumstances.
For the year ahead, we envision and trust for a total goal of $25,000, divided equally across our focused support and care projects.
