Providing Clean Water — Full Story

Clean water is essential for life.

Yet for billions of people around the world, it remains out of reach. Every day, families are forced to drink contaminated water that carries deadly diseases, while children walk miles through dangerous terrain just to collect water that isn’t even safe to drink. Waterborne illnesses continue to claim lives that could be saved with simple, proven solutions.

King’s Ransom Foundation is bringing clean, safe water to communities through practical, sustainable projects tailored to each region’s greatest need.

In Pakistan, we drill deep water wells that provide entire villages with reliable access to safe drinking water for years to come.

In Rwanda, we provide household water filtration systems that remove harmful contaminants and provide families with a dependable source of clean water.

In some of the world’s most vulnerable communities, we also distribute chlorine generators that eliminate harmful bacteria, viruses, and parasites from local water supplies. These simple yet highly effective systems are one of the most cost-effective ways to save lives. Just $50 can provide safe drinking water for approximately 600 people.

Clean water does more than quench thirst. It prevents disease, improves health, keeps children in school instead of searching for water, and allows families and entire communities to thrive.

To date, King’s Ransom Foundation has helped provide clean, life-giving water to more than 14 million people across Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Asia.
