For most people, that word brings thoughts of safety, security, and peace.
For millions of families around the world, however, home is still only a dream.
Across impoverished communities in Central America, parents work tirelessly to provide for their children while living in makeshift shelters built from scraps of wood, tin, plastic, and cardboard. Many families sleep on dirt floors, without secure walls, clean water, or even a door they can lock at night. When storms come, everything they own is at risk.
No family should have to live this way.
Over the past two decades, King’s Ransom Foundation has helped transform lives by providing safe, permanent housing to families living in extreme poverty. One of our most significant milestones was in Nicaragua, where, through the generosity of faithful supporters, we built more than 2,000 concrete-block homes. Those homes provided far more than shelter. They gave families dignity, stability, and hope for the future. Alongside housing, we helped establish sustainable gardens, chicken coops, and community centers where residents could learn valuable skills and build brighter futures.
While we celebrate everything that was accomplished in Nicaragua, the need has never disappeared.
Today, our home-building efforts are focused in Honduras, where families continue to live in unsafe and inadequate housing. Through our partnership with local organizations, we are building durable concrete homes that provide protection from the elements, security for children, and a place where families can begin to thrive.
A safe home changes everything. Children are healthier. Parents gain stability. Families can focus on building a future instead of simply surviving each day.
Every home is built because someone chose to care.
Your gift of any amount helps provide families with a safe place to call home and gives them the foundation for a better future. Together, we can continue bringing hope, dignity, and lasting change to families who need it most.
